I am also surprised that Ozzie is only in the 62nd percentile for his weight because he's quite the porker at feeding time. I started him on "solids" at 5 1/2 months because he seemed ready and we thought it might help with his sleeping issues. He loves his fruits and veggies but isn't particularly fond of rice cereal. His favorite are peas which is great because I was grounded as a kid for not eating my veggies. At 33 I still hate vegetables and only eat them because I know how important it is to eat your greens. I dread the day Ozzie realizes his Mommy is choking down her vegetables at dinner.
He enjoys spending Tuesdays and Thursdays with Nanay and Pepa since I am back at work (reluctantly) 10 hours a week. In fact, Oscar and I think he likes them better than he likes Mommy and Daddy.
Just for fun we took a picture of Ozzie today with his Seahawks Monkey and compared it to the same picture we took when he was just a few weeks old. What a difference!!!
I can't believe how big he's getting! For comparison, when we picked Ian up at 19 months, he was only an inch shorter than Ozzie is now... And 3 pounds heavier... so Ozzie is going to be tall! Once he starts crawling and walking, he'll really slim down and will probably eat tons! Good luck with the sleep issues. Although I didn't deal with Ian at that age, I can tell you what I did to get over his sleep issues and now he is an expert sleeper.
ReplyDeleteWe also think Ian likes his grandparents more than us... He asks all week if it's Friday because that's when "grandma comes to watch for garbage trucks". A relationship with grandparents is a treasure I never really had so I'm so happy they are so close. I'm sure you feel the same way, too.
Loving your blog, Debbie! Miss you lots!
